Azarenka Break up

Victoria Azarenka is no longer in relationship with Stefan Gordy, the singer from USA. The couple has broken up recently after reaching the conclusion that they don’t have enough time for each other.

Both Azarenka and Gordy are the renowned names in their own fields and thus, it’s obvious that they have hectic schedules. Despite that, they tried hard to save their relationship, but, eventually, both of them felt that it was virtually impossible to carry it on.

Talking to the reporters the other day, Gordy said, “Neither of us wanted to split, but, the fact is that we both are at a very important stage of our careers. We have to devote a lot of time to our respective professions and in such situation, the best possible thing is the breakup.”

Gordy would be doing shows in various parts of Europe over the next month, while, Azarenka would be busy playing hard court tournaments in her bid to get ready for the US Open.

Azarenka has fallen down in the world rankings a little bit in the recent times and the injuries have a lot to do with that. Yes, her form has also not been the greatest, but, she would not have slipped down so much (to no. 10) if she had stayed fit.

It’s not so long back when the Belarusian was the no. 1 player in the world. She had been absolutely fantastic in the 2012 and 2013 Season winning Australian Open successively and also reaching the semi final and final rounds of the other slams.

But, during the ongoing season, Azarenka has been a little unlucky with her fitness. However, the last quarter of the season is still remaining and she has every chance to improve her ranking before the season ends.

Djokovic Will Feature In Boodles

Novak Djokovic, the no. 2 player in the world, will get prepared for the Wimbledon Championships by featuring in an exhibition tournament named as Boodles Tennis Challenge. It will be organized at Stoke Park and all the players participating in it will get the opportunity to play at least 3 games.

Some other renowned players who are taking part in that tournament are John Isner, Jack Sock (Both USA), Kevin Anderson (South Africa), Ernests Gulbis (Latvia), Milos Raonic (Canada) and Fabio Fognini (Italy).

Almost all the players who are at the top positions in the World rankings have taken part in the ATP tournaments in their bids to get ready for the third Grand Slam of the year, but, Djokovic who was horribly frustrated after suffering yet another defeat against Rafael Nadal in the French Open decided not to do so.

He got himself freshened by spending some quality time with his buddies and now, he is all set to go again.

Although Boodles Challenge is only an exhibition tournament, the name of the players mentioned above clearly suggests that the competition is going to be tough there and Djokovic would be happy about that. He would want to play hard and tight so that his preparation is well come the Wimbledon.

In the Wimbledon Championships, Djokovic would again have the opportunity to replace Rafael Nadal at the first position in the world rankings.

The Serb had the similar opportunity at Roland Garros as well, but, he wasted that by losing to the Spaniard in the final there. Had he clinched that final, he would have been the world no. 1 by now.

The Wimbledon Championships this year will start from the 23rd of June and will go on till the 6th of July.
